Virtual Host Rate Change
UITS is pleased to announce a reduction in the cost of the Web Virtual Host Name service.
A 'virtual host name' is a name that is substituted for the actual host name in a WWW URL that the WWW server recognizes as associated with an alternative root document directory. They are most often used to make it easier for the Internet user to surf to your main WWW site or to a specific place within your site. For more information, please see Virtual Host Name Service.
Beginning July 1, 2005, the Virtual Host set up fee of $250.00 was eliminated entirely. In addition, the annual fee of $250.00 decreased to $125.00 per unique name.
