  • Central web server outage
    Webserve will be unavailable on Sunday, July 13, 2008 from 12:15am to 2:00am for software upgrades. In addition, all services (including Webserve) hosted from the IUB machine room will be unavailable Sunday, July 13, from 3:00am to 5:00am due to scheduled maintenance. <added on July 9, 2008>

  • Web Content Management Pilot call for participation
    We are now soliciting up to 5 or 6 divisions, departments, and or units to take part in and begin the pilot project. These departments will represent a wide range of web usage at IU with the goal of speeding easier adoption by the broader IU community. <added on June 23, 2008>

  • Email changes on Webserve
    Beginning 4am on Friday, June 20th, mail changes to the Webserve environment will result in undeliverable email being sent to the preferred email address of the account or, if the preferred email address for the account has not been set, to the account owner's personal email address. <added on June 19, 2008>

  • Siteshare unavailable due to emergency maintenance
    Samba service for Siteshare was unavailable from Wednesday, May 28th at 5:14pm until Thursday, May 29th at 5:36pm due to emergency maintenance. <added on May 28, 2008>

  • Web Accounts have been deactivated
    At noon Tuesday, May 20, all web accounts that were not migrated and for which the owner has not contacted the Webmaster, were disabled. <added on May 20, 2008>

  • Finalize Web Migration -- Second Notice
    Web migration dateline reminder. Includes instruction for the utility for resetting the Network passphase if the current network passphrase is unknown or forgotten. <added on April 17, 2008 >

  • Finalize Web Migration
    The new central web server environment is open for account migration effective today, March 28th. Account owners have until May 12th to complete the migration. Accounts which have not completed the migration by May 12th will be deactivated and archived. <added on March 28, 2008>

  • Web Sever Downtime Scheduled
    The central IU Web servers will be unavailable on Thursday, March 13th from 2-4 AM. <added on March 12, 2008>

  • Web Account Creation Freeze
    New Champion and Veritas Web accounts will not be created during the week of March 10 - March 17, 2008. <added on March 6, 2008>
